Marigold Garland Workshop
Our Marigold Garland Workshop will take place just as we enter the week of Dia de los Muertos and Halloween. Marigold garlands are long-lasting adornments for this time of year, and hold meaning for remembering those who have left our earthly world. The brilliant orange and gold flowers hold their colors as they hang inside your home.

Time: 1pm - 2:30pm
Location: City Roots Venue, 1005 Airport Blvd, Columbia, SC
Brinton Fox, BFF’s grower and designer, will guide you through the process of designing a garland with marigold blooms from the farm.
All participants will leave with a 5 foot marigold garland. Marigold blooms in orange and gold will be available for creating the garland. Instruction will be provided by BFF on how to use a large embroidery needle and embroidery floss to thread the marigold blooms together.
A note on your workshop location: the City Roots venue is an outdoor location with uneven ground. While the areas where we will be are fairly easy to navigate, know that you will be walking and standing on mulched wood and gravel. If poor weather prohibits us from working under the large pavilion in the middle of the farm, we will move to an indoor event space.
We will have a brief tour after the workshop portion has concluded for participants who wish to see more of our new flower operation at the City Roots property.
